From easy-to-use field boundary digitizing tools, yield mapping, and field-routing maps, Summit Professional is an efficient mapping software package.
Digitize Error-Free Field Boundaries
Summit Professional's digitizing tool is the most efficient way to create an error-free digital field boundary. With many advanced but easy-to-use drawing tools, you can digitize many fields in no time and be assured of no errors such as "bowties" or overlaps that have plagued many GIS programs of the past.
Yield Mapping
Import GPS-collected yield monitor files from AgLeader, Case IH, and John Deere yield monitors and use Summit Professional's industry-best tools for cleaning, analyzing, and reporting yield. You have the ability to do post calibrations of yield data as well as edit swath width and monitor settings. File extensions included are .yld, .gsy, .gsd, .fdl, and .ilf.
Yield Reports
Easily create advanced yield reports such as:
• Yield by Field, Farm, and Client
• Yield by Soil Type
• Yield - Load and Hybrid Summary Report (from Monitor)
• Yield by Hybrid/Variety (from Summit/Stratus)
• Yield by Crop Protection Treatment
• Yield by Fertilizer Treatment
Get Free Soil Type Maps
Soil type data can’t get any easier to work with in Summit Professional. We have gathered and cataloged much of the U.S. county soil type layers and have made these soil type layers available for download to all customers. Select the fields for which you want soil type, hit download, and you will have a soil type layer for each field. Use soil type to create management zones, soil sampling zones, or for guidance when making seed placement recommendations, or even in fertility recommendations.
Manage Soil Test Results
Soil test results for multiple fields can be time consuming to manage via email and organize on your computer. Remove the hassle by signing up for the free FarmRite File Send tool. Soil test results will be sent directly from your soil test lab to your Summit Professional to speed up the import process.
Download or import imagery into Summit Professional with ease. Services are constantly added so you can easily access and download geo-referenced imagery. Use imagery to create field boundaries, management zones, or as a map background.
In order to ensure wider coverage of high-quality imagery, we have deployed our own imagery server.
Through a partnership with Earth Map Solutions, we are currently deploying 2006-2008 NAIP imagery for most of the US Corn Belt. In time, we will add NAIP data for the rest of the country.
Get Turn-by-Turn Directions to Fields
Fertilizer applicators will never again have a problem finding a field. In Summit Professional, you open the field in which you want to route, and simply click the Routing button. A new screen displays a map with the fastest route from your location to the field along with turn-by-turn directions. You can also set up a navigation order from your location to multiple fields so you can easily navigate from the first field to the second, and so on. Printing is as easy as clicking a button.
Google Earth Export
Have you ever wanted to see your farm fields from every possible angle and height? Now you can with Summit’s integration with Google Earth. In Summit, you open a field and select the Google Earth button and watch as you zoom down directly to your field. From there you can get driving directions to the field or save the image as a .jpg. (You must have the free Google Earth program installed.)
